ROCK ISLAND DEPOT & THE ATLANTIC AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
The Rock Island Railroad Depot was built in 1898 for the Rock Island Railroad Line. The building’s Renaissance style helps set it apart from most other depots. The Depot was and still is the anchor for Downtown Atlantic. In 2002, ARISE (Atlantic Rock Island Society Enterprise), completed a full restoration project and the Depot is now listed on the National Historic Register. The Rock Island Depot is home to the Atlantic Area Chamber of Commerce, a thriving organization of over 300 members. The Chamber partners with the community to host events including: Produce in the Park, Crazy Daze, AtlanticFest, Firemen’s Picnic and Christmas in Atlantic. Explore exciting community events in the Atlantic Area and discover all the exciting Chamber member businesses.
It has National Historic Site status and offers the Rowe Conference Center for public rental.
